Our Story

Tamra (تمرة) means "date" in Arabic - A simple fruit with a rich history, deeply rooted in my culture and at the heart of everything we create.

Hi, my name is Arij, and I'm the creator of Tamra Treats.

I was born and raised in Algeria, a country where date palms are more than just trees—they're symbols of generosity, resilience, and hospitality. Growing up, dates were always part of everyday life. Before school, on family road trips, during celebrations, or whenever we needed a natural source of energy, dates were the snack we reached for first.

I've always had a special connection with date palms. To me, they represent home. As I grew older, I found myself experimenting with dates in my own kitchen, pairing them with premium nuts, rich chocolate, coconut, and other carefully selected ingredients. What began as curiosity soon became a passion for creating new recipes that celebrate one of nature's most extraordinary fruits.

Baking has always been my love language. For me, desserts were never just about sugar or presentation—they were always about feelings. The feeling of gathering, comforting, celebrating, sharing, and making someone's day a little warmer.

One of the most beautiful questions people ask is:

"What would you do even if money didn't matter?"

My answer has always been the same:

I would make beautiful treats for people, simply to bring them joy.
